DISHA visits Wadia College
Following on from DISHA's January visit to Fergusson College on 14 February the team hit Wadia College for another awareness session, coinciding with the college's Traditional Day.
With the DISHA team out in force - accompanied by the new LINK arrivals - more than six hundred AIDS ribbons were distributed to students and staff. Several street plays were performed to illustrate the problems of HIV/AIDS related superstition and stigma.It was noted by the team that even college students can be ignorant when it comes to issues surrounding HIV/AIDS. This experience highlighted that grassroots organisations should target all sections of society in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
