International Women's Day
On Saturday, the 11th of March, Deep Griha celebrated International Women's Day at Ethel Gordon's School. Over 500 women and young girls participated in the programme. There were dances, role-plays, songs, personal testimonies and more. It was an opportunity for the women beneficiaries of Deep Griha's Women's Empowerment Programmes to showcase their talent and have a fun filled afternoon. The chief guest was Mrs. Veena Halbe, a director of BAIF Development Research Foundation, who works with women in rural Maharashtra.The LinkVolunteersandotherDeep Griha international volunteers added colour to the occassion.
