DGS Christmas Party
It's definitely the festive season here in Pune. Hot on the heels of Dussera and then Diwali, 21 December saw the DGS Christmas Party taking over the Family Welfare Centre at Tadiwala Road. Munda's balwadi (pre-school) class were decked out in a variety of improvised constumes as they staged a Nativity celebration. A mixed assortment of angels, shepherds, wise men, Marys and Josephs went around the building, singing songs and bringing Christmas cheer to everyone they met along the way.The ever-jolly Sudesh made a fantastic Santa Claus, and special treats of cakes, bananas and chocolate were distributed to the children. With the FWC now closed until the New Year, it was a fine way to wrap things up before the break.Meanwhile, DISHA hosted a special get-together biryani meal for programme clients and staff. Festive greetings to one and all.
