Women's Empowerment

women empowerment

Many women in our target communities face discrimination and prejudice. They are frequently victims of abuse and their lives often revolve exclusively around their homes and families.

The Women's Empowerment project is designed to increase self-esteem and confidence, encourage social interaction, and provide women with skills to improve earning potential and the ability to support their families.

Programmes include:

For a number of years, Deep Griha has offered skills training to women in its target communities. These courses provide women with vocational skills, which they can use to generate an independent income. Currently, we have 51 ladies in sewing, 90 learning how to apply henna, and 92 learning beautician skills. We are also conducting tailoring classes at our Tadiwala Road branch. We have reached around 6,300 beneficiaries till date.

All the participants have been taken on various excursions to enhance their exposure level.

Our projects empower women, but also seek to provide support to men through adult education classes and couples' seminars, and working women seminars. We have held over 240 seminars till date.

We have conducted 2989 awareness programs till now.

We at Deep Griha try to respond to the needs and demands of the women, and alter our programmes accordingly.
