Deep Griha crèches provide early education for children, preparing them for school by the age of four. They also provide assistance to families: with children cared for safely during the day so that both parents can go out to work and elder siblings are able to attend school. The children receive overall care, and a lot of emphasis is laid on working with parents and building positive relationships with the community.

Each child enrolled at a crèche receives:

  • Pre-school education: with the education being according to the age of the child
  • Regular medical check-ups (and treatment or referrals if necessary) with a properly maintained health record of each child. Monthly check ups for their HB levels are also provided
  • Immunisations against childhood diseases
  • Recreation activities: games, drawing, craft, competitions, and so on
  • Nutrition: snacks along with a nutritious and balanced main meal

Deep Griha runs ten crèches, caring for around 220 children everyday across the ten different centres located at Tadiwala Road, Bibvewadi and Ramtekadi. The crèches are open to children ranging from the ages of six months old to five years old.

Our teachers come from our target communities, and are given rigorous and regular training. We ensure that our crèches provide a safe environment, in which the young children are able to learn whilst playing together. This gives parents the confidence that their children are well looked after, enabling them to find and maintain jobs to help support their families. Parents are also invited for monthly meetings with their child’s teachers, to monitor progress and address any problems.
