This quarter marked a historic milestone for Deep Griha Society as we celebrated 50 years of dedicated service in under-resourced communities in Pune. Months of preparation from our team culminated in a memorable Foundation Day celebration on 5th July, an event that ran smoothly and brought together supporters from across India and around the world through a virtual livestream.

Honouring 50 Years of Service & Collective Impact

The Golden Jubilee celebration paid tribute to:

  • Our founders, who laid the foundation for Deep Griha’s mission five decades ago.
  • Supporters, partners, and donors—locally and globally—who have strengthened our work over the years.
  • The Deep Griha team, past and present, whose dedication has made every programme possible.

Above all, we celebrated the communities we serve, recognising their resilience and partnership in our shared journey.

A Day Filled with Performances & Inclusivity

The highlight of the event was a series of heartwarming performances by participants from our various interventions:

  • Energetic dance performances by students from Deep Griha Academy, City of Child, and Aadhar Kendra.
  • A creative musical skit by our Tech SMART trainees.
  • A delightful performance by participants from our Senior Citizens Programme.

In keeping with our commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the programme was hosted in English, Marathi, and Indian Sign Language, ensuring every attendee could engage fully.

Reconnecting With Our Roots – Ex-Staff Gathering

On 12th July, former and current Deep Griha staff came together for an intimate celebration filled with singing, dancing, and storytelling. Ex-staff members shared heartfelt memories, and long-term volunteers reconnected with colleagues they had worked with in earlier years. It was a touching reminder of how Deep Griha’s impact extends far beyond its programmes—creating lifelong bonds and a strong sense of family.
