On 27th December 2025, we were delighted to welcome 17 employees from The Ritz-Carlton, Pune to our City of Child campus in Kasurdi for a vibrant and enriching CSR activity that brought together creativity, sports, sustainability, and shared joy.
About City of Child, Kasurdi
City of Child is a residential initiative of Deep Griha Society, designed to provide a safe and secure environment for children from vulnerable and underserved communities. Beyond academics, our campus focuses life skills, confidence, and values—empowering children to dream, learn, and grow.
The Day’s Journey
The engagement began with an orientation tour of the City of Child campus, where the team from The Ritz-Carlton was introduced to the children and gained insight into the school’s vision, facilities, and daily life. This initial interaction helped build comfort and connection, setting the tone for a collaborative and joyful afternoon.
The children and corporate volunteers then came together to paint the dormitory walls in a traditional Warli art style. Working side by side, the activity encouraged cultural appreciation, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. Seeing their living spaces transform into vibrant canvases filled the children with pride and excitement.
Following the art session, the campus came alive with energy as the children and volunteers played football, cricket, and volleyball together. These outdoor games fostered teamwork, confidence, physical well-being, and a strong sense of camaraderie.
Adding a special highlight to the day, the children enthusiastically showcased their science projects on biogas and solar energy, which they had prepared as part of their school curriculum. Sharing their knowledge with the Ritz-Carlton team boosted their confidence and reinforced the importance of experiential learning and environmental awareness.
